Jason enlisted in the U.S. Navy at 17. Over 20 years he worked in the Navy nuclear program, rising to Chief as a nuclear electrician before serving as a nuclear-trained naval officer.
He earned a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering Technology from Thomas Edison State University and was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal in 2013, the year he retired.
From the Navy to mortgages
After retiring to Charleston in 2013, Jason spent about three years originating home loans at ResMac.
In March 2018 he started Home Loans Inc, at first from his laundry room. The brokerage now has about 20 team members, and roughly 65% of its clients are veterans or service members.
